The P&S 6000 Slide Rail Extension Unit is provided at a standard length plus bearing and is fixed directly to the garage floor adjoining the existing rail on the stock units. If a second or third rail is required, these are also fixed to the garage floor adjoining the existing rails. It is important that the rails are fixed parallel to ensure ease of operation.
The P&S 6000 is designed to connect to the stock rail units of the P&S 1000, 2000, and 3000. The purpose of the extension unit is to allow the slides to travel the width of a full parking space. This will most commonly be used in commercial garages, but may be applied to residential parking solutions as well.
If the required sliding distance is greater than 30” the slide rail extension kit must be ordered. The number of slide rail extensions required is dependent on the number of slides on the stock units. For example, if a P&S 1000 needs to slide 8 feet, then you need 4 P&S 6000 slide rail extension units.
